Discussion

Discussion during dinner will start with Julia Galef's podcast: Understanding moral disagreements (Jonathan Haidt). Social psychologist Jonathan Haidt argues that liberals should “expand their moral horizons” by learning to think like conservatives. What do you think?  How do you resolve moral disagreements?

What is EAHK social?

EAHK's Monthly Socials aim to provide a welcoming space for everyone in the EA community to socialise and make new connections. We usually do meals, and indoor or outdoor activities such as bowling or hiking monthly. So, whether you are new to EA, or are familiar already, you are most welcome to join us.

New to Effective Altruism?

For those new to effective altruism, here are a couple of good introductions. In short, EA is about using evidence to carefully analyze how, given limited resources, we can help others better. Link: What is effective altruism?
